5th Challenge: The Notebook & Letters to God

Okay, so, today's challenge is basically all about a heart wrenching movie. I went through all my other 'bloggie' friends and as I read through all their stuff, all of those were great movies... It was quite hard choosing one since I've already watched quite a few. But, the one that I had selected for the day is...(drum roll) - The Notebook.

Originally from a novel by Nicholas Sparks, this story starts off with an old man in the old folks home reading a book which consists of all the memories of the woman he loved and read it out loud to, basically, the woman he loved most which is his wife who suffered Alzheimer. He wanted her to remember each part of the memories of the time they spent together. At the end of the story, the woman did remember but only for a short while. During the last scene, the woman did remembered for a while and she slept beside her husband on the hospital bed and they passed on together just like they had promised. (sob). Wonderful, ain't it?

I cried the hardest when she finally remembered her husband. After all the attempts her husband went through reading the book, she finally remembered. It's just a great, tear dropping movie that's what it is.I learned how to accept the differences with the person you love, to be there for them when in need, love each other till the day we die.

Besides The Notebook, there is also Letters to God. This movie really touches the heart as it tells the story of a young boy who suffered from a brain tumor(not sure) and wrote a letter to God every single day which will revolve around the people he loved and change the way they see things and accepting life as it should be. Its a really great movie I cried like after a few scenes.

Anyways, we all should appreciate good movies like these. It inspires us to be more sentimental and have a sense of appreciation towards life and the people around us. So, don't stop watching, keep it alive.
